Which Nike card should I buy?

Buy the US card for a US Nike account or US store, and a European card (EUR, GBP, DKK or SEK) for Nike.com in Europe, ideally in the currency of the recipient's country site. Shoppers in Brazil need the nike.com.br card. Each Nike gift card holds its balance in the currency it was issued in: USD for US cards, and EUR, GBP, DKK, SEK or PLN for European cards (Nike caps European cards at €500, £500, DKK 4,000 or SEK 5,000).

A US card reaches beyond a mainland Nike store

Nike’s American gift-card programme covers the United States and Puerto Rico. Its terms name Nike.com, Converse.com, selected Nike applications and stores owned by Nike or Converse in those territories. Certain affiliated properties can also participate, subject to change. This is useful when the recipient shops across the two brands, but it does not turn every retailer selling Nike shoes into an accepting merchant. Check the actual purchasing channel before treating a card as payment for a particular pair of shoes.

Keep the international-order exclusion in view

The territorial rule has a specific online exception: international purchases processed through U.S. Direct E-Commerce Limited, also identified as eShopWorld, cannot use this US card. An American-looking product page or a dollar display does not remove that restriction. A recipient ordering for a foreign destination should establish the checkout channel first.

Ten cards is a checkout count, not a dollar menu

A transaction can apply no more than ten gift cards. That number tells you how many cards may contribute, rather than how much credit each card contains or the maximum value of the shopping basket. Treat a merchant’s separate dollar observation as a quoted product detail requiring its own confirmation, rather than a replacement for an issuer amount menu.

Spend part of a balance and retain the remainder

The US terms let unused value carry forward to subsequent purchases. For illustration, a card already holding $100 that contributes $64 to an eligible transaction would retain $36; those figures illustrate balance arithmetic and are not an advertised denomination list. If the basket instead costs more than the available credit, a different accepted payment method must cover the difference. Keep the card information after using it once, because a completed purchase does not necessarily mean that its balance has reached zero.

No expiry and no card fees address separate questions

Nike expressly states that US gift cards do not expire and have no associated card fees. The absence of a deadline allows remaining credit to wait for a later purchase, while the fee statement addresses deductions associated with the card. Neither promise guarantees that a particular shoe, size, store or release will remain available. A gift card remains a method of paying for eligible goods or services.

Email and physical delivery belong to the same terms

The national policy applies to both digital and physical Nike gift cards. A postal card should not be assumed to arrive through a code-delivery process, and the timing advertised for a Nike-direct email order is not a promise about another seller. Before giving the card away, preserve its purchase record and make sure the recipient knows which national programme the card belongs to.

Returns and transfers have explicit restrictions

The US gift card itself cannot be returned or cancelled under the stated terms, and its balance cannot purchase another gift card. Reselling it or transferring it for value is also prohibited, alongside unauthorised commercial, marketing and promotional uses. Those restrictions matter independently of whether the recipient has spent any credit.

Protect the card as usable payment information

Nike places responsibility on the holder to guard the card against unauthorised use and disclaims responsibility for lost, stolen, destroyed or misused cards. Obtain it from Nike or an authorised third party and retain the receipt, but do not interpret possession of a receipt as an unconditional replacement guarantee. The national terms identify an eligible programme, not the stock or distribution authority of an independent seller. Before committing to a particular listing, its actual format, unused value and availability still need to match what the recipient can use.
