How to redeem

  1. The historical issuer retail-card announcement describes claiming the code printed on the card to add wallet value. A direct account recharge or a gift sent between accounts is a different process.
  2. Follow the actual issuer instructions and check the recorded account balance and transaction result before making a purchase.

Which Battle.net card should I buy?

Buy the card in the currency your Battle.net Shop shows: dollars for a US account, euros for a euro-country account, pounds for a UK account. Battle.net Balance is held in the currency of your Battle.net Shop, set by the Country of Residence in your account settings; a balance card claims only if its currency matches, and balance pays only for products priced in the same currency.

A retail balance code is different from funding a signed-in account

A direct account recharge, a balance gift sent between accounts, a game licence, game time and a WoW Token are different formats. A value shown in a signed-in recharge interface would not by itself establish the face values of separately issued retail codes. A seller’s price and a wallet’s maximum capacity cannot replace those details.

The actual US agreement establishes wallet limits rather than card sizes

The applicable Blizzard End User License Agreement was revised on 21 March 2024 and expressly covers US residents. It sets a maximum balance equivalent to $350 across the holder’s accounts and currencies, rather than a separate allowance of that amount in every account. It also limits the maximum value of balance transactions to $2,000 per day and requires an Authenticator for a balance above $110. The agreement permits limits to change. These are account and wallet conditions, not a list of cards worth those amounts. Assess existing funds before obtaining more credit, and do not mistake a successful arithmetic calculation for proof that a particular code can be claimed.

The official payment announcement requires the balance currency to match the product currency. It does not publish the exact supported account countries of every retail code. A buyer giving to someone in another country needs the actual code’s territorial conditions before choosing it. A dollar invoice issued by a seller is also different from a dollar-denominated wallet product.

The current combined-payment rule can help with a remainder

Blizzard’s announcement dated 8 July 2025 permits using Battle.net Balance with another payment method. The balance and product currencies must match, and some payment methods with long expiration times are excluded. Older indexed help still says split payment is impossible, so that statement should not override the newer explicit announcement. For a hypothetical eligible purchase totalling $27 with $19 available, the arithmetic shortfall is $8. The actual transaction must offer a supported second method. Check its final payment breakdown instead of assuming every product, account or payment option qualifies for the combined flow.

Claimed money stays with the receiving account

The US agreement makes Battle.net Balance non-transferable to another person or account. It is not a bank account, does not earn interest and is generally not redeemable or refundable for money unless law or the agreement provides otherwise. No more than three accounts with balance are allowed. That ceiling is an account condition, rather than advice to split funds across accounts. For a family gift, decide which eligible player will claim the code before using a household browser. The agreement excludes children under thirteen and requires the relevant parent or guardian consent for a minor above that threshold. The final code-specific eligibility still needs to be established.

A wallet’s possible termination is not a code expiry policy

The EULA describes circumstances in which the balance service or an account can end. A general statement about losing access after an account agreement ends is not a published inactivity fee or an ordinary card deadline. Likewise, no fee schedule for this particular current retail-code format was established.

The agreement ordinarily treats purchased balance as non-refundable while preserving legal exceptions. The older Blizzard Gift Card name provides historical wallet context, without proving that all Blizzard catalogue aliases represent the same current SKU.
