Where can I spend a bol gift card?

Only on www.bol.com. Bol's gift card terms say its cards are redeemable exclusively for purchases via bol.com, in euros. Some special cards, such as the bol Kids gift card, only cover a product range chosen by bol.

Once you link a card to your bol account, the remaining value stays on that account. It cannot be moved to another account or cashed out.

Does a bol gift card expire?

Yes, after three years. Bol's terms in force from 3 July 2026 make a gift card valid for three years from purchase. After that it cannot be used, so spend leftover balances in time.

Keep the code safe as well. Bol pays no compensation if a card or its code is lost or stolen, and that includes an accidentally deleted email. Bol may ask for the original email containing the code.

How do I redeem a bol gift card?

Put an item in your basket and enter the gift card number under Code invoeren. A physical card also needs its PIN. Bol explains the steps on its digital gift card page.

You can check the balance in your account or with bol's balance checker. If you cancel or return an order, the amount goes back onto the gift card first and appears as a payment option next time.

What can't I do with a bol gift card?

Three things. You cannot pay for an order after placing it, because the card only works as payment at the moment of ordering. You cannot buy another gift card or similar digital credit with it. And one user may link or spend no more than €10,000 in bol gift cards within 12 months.
