How to redeem
- The historical issuer retail-card announcement describes claiming the code printed on the card to add wallet value. A direct account recharge or a gift sent between accounts is a different process.
- Follow the actual issuer instructions and check the recorded account balance and transaction result before making a purchase.
Which Battle.net EU card should I buy?
Buy the card in the currency your Battle.net Shop shows: dollars for a US account, euros for a euro-country account, pounds for a UK account. Battle.net Balance is held in the currency of your Battle.net Shop, set by the Country of Residence in your account settings; a balance card claims only if its currency matches, and balance pays only for products priced in the same currency.
Portemonnaie credit is money for eligible purchases, not a virtual-unit pack
The French European agreement describes Battle.net Balance as credit for certain products and services offered through the platform. It should not be confused with a game-content key, game time, a WoW Token or a pack of units for one game. A present intended to let the recipient decide later needs that distinction made before price comparison. A direct recharge of an already signed-in account or a gift sent between accounts is also a different process.
An account’s permitted currency is not the complete code-country rule
The Europe agreement permits balance currencies applicable to the holder’s residence. The current payment announcement adds a currency-match requirement between the wallet and the purchased product. A temporary stay in France, a French-language interface or a euro invoice from an intermediary does not provide the missing compatibility proof.
Current euro limits should be checked rather than copied from old help
The European agreement describes maximum balance, daily transaction limits and an Authenticator threshold, while referring their numerical currency values to support. Dollar figures from the US EULA are not substituted. A recipient with existing credit should inspect the actual account’s present conditions before obtaining more.
The July 2025 announcement changes how a remainder can be spent
Blizzard’s dated announcement permits combining Battle.net Balance with another payment method. Balance and product currency must match, and some methods with long expiration times are excluded. The newer explicit rule takes precedence over the older indexed statement that split payment cannot be used. For a hypothetical eligible purchase of €34 with €26 in the wallet, eight euros remain for a supported other method. This is an arithmetic example, not a current offer, card value or guaranteed checkout result. Review the actual final payment arrangement.
Claimed credit stays in the chosen player’s account
The agreement makes balance non-transferable to another account or person and allows no more than three accounts to hold it. It also addresses an active account, legal majority and parent or guardian consent for minors. Before claiming a family present, decide which eligible player will actually spend it. Redeeming into a convenient shared browser account would not leave the money freely assignable afterward. The balance is not a bank account and generally is not redeemable or refundable for cash unless law or the agreement provides otherwise.
The French European EULA includes balance funds in its digital-content discussion and explains how the start of performance affects direct-purchase withdrawal rights. It separately describes services and directs third-party content purchasers to their retailer. A general fourteen-day reference should not be presented as an unconditional return right for every unused code. Account or balance-service termination is a further distinct subject. Keep the original source, purchase channel and claim status with the receipt so the relevant policy can be assessed without applying one transaction’s conditions to another.
