How to redeem
- Open the issuer’s gift redemption route while signed into the intended eligible account; for a European card, verify the residence-list exception and local payment method.
- For a current digital gift, open its claim link, check the displayed gift details and confirm redemption. For a supplied card-number/PIN format, use the complete credentials in the corresponding official fields; current help describes a nineteen-digit number and alphanumeric PIN.
- Claiming transfers the entire value to that account. Review the actual eligible booking and any supplementary payment before confirmation. The claimed balance cannot be transferred to another account.
Which Airbnb card should I buy?
Buy the version for the recipient's country of residence, not the destination: a US card for US residents, a UK card for UK residents, a European card for residents of the 24 listed European countries. The recipient also needs a payment method issued in that country.
The German configuration ends at two hundred and fifty euros
The public purchase page explicitly labels its configuration DE and EUR. It lists one hundred, one hundred and fifty, two hundred and two hundred and fifty euros as presets. A separate variable interval runs from twenty-five to two hundred and fifty euros without an observed increment. These data fields are not an invitation to advertise every intervening amount as a fixed distributor code. They also differ from the larger French configuration. A five-hundred-euro figure seen on a French page cannot enlarge the German menu.
The European residence exception has a named country list
Germany follows Airbnb’s European gift-card terms. Those conditions list twenty-four eligible residence countries, including Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland, and require a payment method issued in the recipient’s country of residence. The rule is broader than Germany-only redemption but narrower than a promise covering every European address. For a family near a border, identify the intended recipient’s actual residence and locally issued payment method first. A German buyer giving to an eligible Austrian resident has a different compatibility question from giving to a British resident.
Gift credit is for accommodation rather than the whole travel itinerary
Under the European terms, gift balance can pay for accommodation. Experiences and services are excluded, even when they appear alongside homes in Airbnb’s navigation. A Munich weekend present should therefore distinguish a contribution toward the stay from a planned cooking activity, guided outing or other service. Seeing those offers on the same platform is not proof that the same gift credit can pay for them. The residence-based restriction should also not be mistaken for a rule requiring the accommodation itself to be in Germany. Assess the recipient’s eligible account and the actual accommodation checkout, then budget separately for other parts of the trip that do not accept this balance.
Online withdrawal ends when the gift is added to an account
The European agreement allows fourteen days after an online gift-card purchase to exercise withdrawal, while excluding in-store purchases from that clause. It says adding the gift to an Airbnb account ends the cooling-off period immediately. That qualification matters before using redemption as a casual way to inspect an unwanted present. General purchase help describes completed gift purchases as non-refundable; the specific European clause must remain visible alongside that broader statement. Keep the purchase channel, date and claim status with the original confirmation. This is a condition of the gift purchase, separate from the cancellation policy of accommodation eventually reserved using the resulting balance.
Multiple contributions do not create transferable shared credit
The recipient needs an Airbnb account in good standing. Claiming transfers the complete gift into that account, and the terms prevent moving the resulting balance to somebody else. Several relatives can contribute separate gifts, but they should agree who will actually make the accommodation booking before any code is claimed. A holder should not redeem into a convenient shared browser account and assume the funds can be reassigned later. Current help permits several gifts on one account and repeated spending of unused value, without establishing a numeric stacking ceiling here. Keep each original gift record identifiable when checking how several contributions became the account’s combined available balance.
A booking adjustment is not automatically an eligible new purchase
European card terms exclude charges for changes to existing reservations and the purchase of other gift cards. Current redemption help also warns against trying to retroactively replace the payment for a confirmed booking. These rules matter if a recipient already reserved a stay and wants to use a newly received present afterward. Scheduled-payment help describes conditional early payment of later instalments, with policy and country qualifications. That specific situation should be checked on its own terms rather than converted into a general permission to fund reservation changes. Establish the exact payment still due before acquiring additional credit for an existing trip, and keep the original booking record available.
No expiry still leaves the actual accommodation total to assess
Both the European card and the claimed balance have no expiry or card fees under the reviewed terms. Unspent credit can remain for another eligible stay, but it does not reserve a particular listing or protect a future nightly price. A hypothetical €200 balance used against an eligible final charge of €176 leaves €24. If the real total is higher than the balance, another accepted payment method covers the difference. The locally issued payment-method requirement remains a separate eligibility condition.
Keep the source and redemption credentials with the purchase record
The German legal route names airbnb.de/einloesen. Current general help recognises digital claim links and manually entered card-number/PIN details, so retain the exact format supplied instead of using a receipt reference as the code. If a credential is damaged, the issuer asks for the card number, readable PIN portions and original purchase receipt when considering support. That is not a blanket replacement guarantee. The terms also prohibit resale or transfer for value subject to applicable law.
Airbnb Germany: questions
Can I buy an Airbnb gift card for Germany with Bitcoin or USDT?
Yes. Airbnb Germany comes in €100, €150, €200 or €250 (about US$112.38–US$280.94); you pay that face value in Bitcoin or USDT (USDC, ETH, SOL and LTC work too).
Does a Airbnb Germany code work in another country?
European cards can be used by residents of 24 listed countries, including Germany, with a payment method issued in their country of residence, and only for accommodations. Buy the card for the country and currency of the account that will redeem it.
Do Airbnb Germany gift cards expire?
Airbnb gift cards and gift card balances do not expire, and no fees of any kind apply.
How do I redeem a Airbnb code from Germany?
Sign in to the Airbnb account and enter the code at airbnb.de: Open the issuer’s gift redemption route while signed into the intended eligible account; for a European card, verify the residence-list exception and local payment method.
More questions about this card
No. The DE/EUR configuration lists €100, €150, €200 and €250. A larger French amount does not become a German configuration.
Does the European rule include every European resident?
The legal text names twenty-four eligible residence countries and requires a payment method issued in the recipient’s residence country. It is not a blanket continent-wide permission.
Does the online withdrawal period continue after claiming?
The European terms say adding the card to an Airbnb account ends the fourteen-day online cooling-off period immediately.
