Which Google Play values are official?
The official values are the ones Google lists for each country. The US set is US$10, US$15, US$25, US$50 and US$100. Germany lists six euro values, the UK three pound values. Japan's current set is ¥1,000, ¥3,000, ¥5,000, ¥10,000 and ¥20,000. Google stopped selling the ¥1,500 and ¥15,000 cards on 19 September 2023; cards already bought still redeem. Can I redeem a Google Play card from another country?
No. Google requires the receiving account's country to match the country where the card is offered, and the card is used in that country and currency. Changing your Play country does not carry an existing balance across. Several countries share the euro, but each keeps its own card. Buy the card for the account's country on the Google Play hub, and see the region-lock table for other brands.
Do Google Play gift cards expire?
Not in most countries: 30 of the 32 active markets state no expiry. Australia and New Zealand are the exceptions, with value expiring 5 years after issue or after the last activity on the Play balance. Malaysian cards and prepaid balance expired on 1 February 2026, and Singapore's on 1 February 2025. Thailand stopped new sales on 1 August 2021; cards bought before then still redeem and their balance does not expire.
What does the range column mean?
Google also publishes a minimum and maximum for variable-value cards. It does not publish the step between them, so the files mark these ranges as not selectable. Finland and South Africa have a range but no fixed set. A range never means that every amount inside it can be bought.
