Which Valorant EU card should I buy?

Buy the card for the region of your Riot account: a US card for North American accounts, and the European card in your store currency for accounts in Europe. A Riot cash code adds VALORANT Points (VP) to one Riot account in the region and currency the code was issued for; the full amount goes to one game and cannot be split.

Historical dollar amounts appear in another game section and are not converted into French presets. Nor is a current VP package price promoted into a card denomination. Obtain the exact native euro value and actual supplied format before comparing costs.

The VALORANT purpose matters before a code is confirmed

The older prepaid-card guide says VALORANT-specific cards can only be used in VALORANT. The current generic cash-code article describes choosing one available game at redemption. A present intended for this game should retain that purpose until compatibility is established. Current cash-code rules commit the entire code to one game and account in one use. The recipient cannot spend part of the code on a VALORANT purchase and move the remainder to League, or share one code among several friends.

Review the actual currency summary rather than treating VP as cash

Riot’s current web instructions include a summary showing the receiving account’s balance and the premium currency the code will add. They allow cancellation if the information or selected game is wrong before final confirmation. That review matters because VP is game currency, rather than a withdrawable euro deposit. Riot’s terms describe a limited virtual-content licence and permit future changes to pricing and purchasing power. A player saving for later content should not assume that a present fixes the euro price of future cosmetics.

A promotional item code can have different expiry and duplicate rules

The content-code FAQ describes promotional credentials for items such as a skin, icon or gun buddy. Those codes can expire, may have broader regional use and are not a current cash-card amount menu. Current general cash-code guidance separately states that cash codes never expire. Account inactivity and termination are further separate matters concerning access to virtual content. An unrelated Southeast Asian gift-card contract is not used to supply missing French fees or resale terms. Suppose the gift description promises a particular gun buddy instead of a contribution of VP. The current content-code instructions require checking the proposed item before confirming. If that account already has it, the issuer says no second copy or consolation reward is supplied, yet the code is considered used. That is materially different from premium currency the player might later spend on eligible content. A giver who does not know the recipient’s collection should establish which product is actually offered before relying on its artwork.

The original source helps distinguish four common claim problems

Current support separates invalid code text, missing point-of-sale activation, an already redeemed code and region mismatch. Keep the original digital gift or physical card and its receipt so the correct issue can be investigated. A merchant activation problem should go back to the merchant, while a code already used on another account is not made fresh by selecting another server. If the redemption-attempt limit is reached, support says to wait twenty-four hours before trying additional cards. Successful compatible redemption usually adds currency immediately but can also take up to a day. That issuer crediting allowance is distinct from an intermediary delivering the code after payment confirmation.

Riot’s global policy normally allows unused refundable content within fourteen days, subject to conditions and legal exceptions. Some content, including weapon-skin levels and regular in-game currency, is excluded. It cannot issue a real-money refund through gift/prepaid payment methods, although an appropriate game-currency refund may be possible.
