What does an NCSOFT NCoin code add?
An NCoin code adds NCoin to your PLAYNC account. NCoin is the premium currency of NC's games on PURPLE, NC's PC launcher, including Aion, Lineage II and Blade & Soul NEO. You spend it in each game's shop.
NC confirms that NCoin is only available on PURPLE. Blade & Soul NEO players on Steam can link their PURPLE account, but they cannot buy NCoin through Steam. NC's shop shows prices in USD, with dynamic conversion only for euros and pounds.
Are NCoin cards still valid in 2026?
Digital NCoin codes are. On August 8, 2025, NC discontinued the physical NCoin cards sold at Target, GameStop and other retailers. NC states that digital NCoin game codes bought online are not affected and remain valid.
The move from old NC accounts to PLAYNC accounts did not void codes either. NC's migration guide says unused NCoin codes continue to function after migration, and purchased NCoin transferred automatically.
Which NCSOFT NCoin code should I buy?
Buy the amount you need, not a country. Every NCoin code we sell is a USD-denominated digital code for NC's PURPLE services. Apply it to the PLAYNC account you actually play on, especially if you also play through Steam.
Where do NCSOFT codes work?
Digital NCoin codes are applied to a PLAYNC account and spent on PURPLE, NC's launcher for its English-language services of Aion, Lineage II and Blade & Soul NEO; NCoin cannot be bought through Steam.

NCSOFT gift cards: questions
Can I still use an NCoin card after NC stopped selling physical cards?
Yes, if it is a digital code. NC discontinued physical NCoin cards on August 8, 2025, but digital NCoin game codes bought online remain valid. Holders of unused physical cards are directed to NC Game Support with proof of purchase. Order a United States NCoin code with crypto and receive it in your account within 24 hours.
Can I buy NCoin for Blade & Soul NEO on Steam?
No. NC states that NCoin is only available on PURPLE. You can link your PLAYNC account to Steam and keep your characters, but NCoin itself is bought and applied through PLAYNC and PURPLE. A digital NCoin code is the way to top up without a card. See how it works when paying with crypto.
Did my unused NCoin codes survive the move to PLAYNC accounts?
Yes. NC's PURPLE migration guide says unused NCoin codes continue to function after migration, and purchased NCoin transferred automatically to the new PLAYNC account. Apply new codes to that PLAYNC account. You can pay for a code with USDC, USDT, BTC, ETH, SOL or LTC, with no KYC up to $1,000 per order.
