How to redeem

Two uses of EUR 999 must stay separate
The Spanish overview prohibits loads and reloads that would put the available card balance above nine hundred and ninety-nine euros. Its help pages also say a purchase or order using online gift payment must not exceed that amount. These statements regulate different totals. A card can be below its own ceiling while a planned merchandise basket exceeds the online order ceiling. The overview’s payment bullet refers to the card amount instead, so checking the more explicit order wording is useful. None of these maximums supplies a minimum gift value, a denomination list or an amount increment.
The five-year headline leaves a starting event unanswered
The characteristics list advertises validity of up to five years. The inspected Spanish terms do not explain whether that period begins at issue, purchase, activation or another event for the ordinary credential. A recipient should retain any printed or emailed validity information rather than calculate a five-year deadline from an assumed date. The phrase also does not say that every gift has the full maximum period. A foreign MediaMarkt rule cannot complete the missing Spanish anchor.
Retail acquisition and existing gift payment have different methods
The ordinary card is available around the tills in Spanish stores and has no value until the selected money is loaded. The purchase help says acquisition is paid by credit or debit card. Elsewhere, the same issuer explains using existing gift balance toward merchandise and funding a shortfall with an accepted extra method. These are different transactions. Conversely, the card-purchase restriction does not make an existing gift balance a credit-card account or a financing facility.
A mixed basket needs a seller and product check

Reloading and sixty empty days concern the card itself
Ordinary Spanish gifts can be reloaded at stores, provided the available balance stays within the published ceiling. There is also a condition invalidating a card after sixty consecutive calendar days at zero balance. A previous successful purchase alone cannot show how much value remains available today.
A merchandise refund does not cash out the gift
Spanish ordinary value can fund a purchase fully or partly and can be used repeatedly until exhausted. If eligible merchandise paid with gift value is returned, the terms describe returning the appropriate value through a gift card or a gift-card load, at the store’s choice. They separately exclude direct cash exchange and refunding the gift balance itself. Those clauses answer different questions and should not be combined into a general cash-refund promise. Preserve the gift and the merchandise receipt until the return has been resolved, including when the original purchase used both gift money and another accepted method.
Fees, promotions and loss each have their own clause
Issue, loading and reloading have no charge beyond the amount added under the ordinary Spanish terms, and the balance earns no interest. That is distinct from a promotional gift, which may only become usable on the day after the relevant campaign ends. A campaign credential therefore needs its own information even if received beside a purchased card. The terms also exclude replacement and balance repayment after theft or loss.
