When is my VILA card charged, and how do I see the balance?
For a Danish card, at the moment you complete the order. BESTSELLER's Danish terms say an online payment leaves the card as soon as the purchase goes through. This stops the same card being spent twice. If the seller cancels the order, or you withdraw under consumer law, the amount goes back onto the card.
Only the order total is taken; the rest stays on the card for later. To see what is left, open 'Beløb på gavekort' under Help on the Danish VILA site. Enter the 19-digit number printed under the barcode and the control code, then tap the check button.
Where can a Swedish VILA card be used?
In Sweden and well beyond. VILA's gift card page says the card can be used online and in stores. The Swedish terms add that a card bought and activated in Sweden is valid at participating Swedish retailers. It can also be redeemed in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany and about 30 other countries.
A Swedish card holds up to SEK 4,000 and runs four years from purchase. Swedish credit is not paid out. Norwegian cards share the four-year term; Danish cards last three years.
VILA gift card not working?

- Expired: the expiry date is on the card itself.

Can I use a discount code to buy a VILA gift card?
No. VILA's help centre states that discount codes cannot be applied when purchasing a gift card. Cards also cannot be recharged, so each one keeps the value it was bought with.
Is the VILA balance stored on my account?
No. The value stays on the card, identified by its 19-digit number and control code. Anyone holding both can spend it, since BESTSELLER cards are transferable and not personal.
Can I buy a VILA gift card with crypto?
