How to redeem an Uber Eats gift card

Is Uber Eats credit stored on my account or used at checkout?

It is stored on your account. Redeeming moves the full value into Wallet, so nothing is typed at the payment step. Each order draws from that balance, and unused value waits for your next meal.

If a basket costs more than the balance, you pay the difference with a card or another gift code. Cards cannot be reloaded, but several can sit on one account. US accounts hold at most $2,000 of gift card value. UK Uber Money tops out at £3,000, and Uber may ask for KYC details.

Can I use a UK Uber Eats gift card in France or the US?

No. Uber says a redeemed card can only be spent in countries that take payment in the currency it was issued in. A pound card pays for British deliveries, while a dollar card covers US orders in Uber Eats, Uber or Postmates. Euro cards from Germany or France are swapped for Uber Money, usable in EEA areas that offer both Uber Money and Uber Eats.

One UK detail matters for shoppers: value redeemed as Uber Credits does not apply to Uber Eats Grocery orders. For meals in Britain, the UK Uber Eats gift card is the one to buy.

What if my Uber Eats code does not work?

Work through this list before contacting Uber.

• Spaces or typos: Uber wants the code exactly as printed, with no spaces.
• Outdated app: update Uber Eats before trying again.
• Already redeemed: the code sits on some Uber account. Ask anyone who handled the card.
• Uber Money prompt: some countries need an Uber Money account first. Allow location access so the app can check availability.

Uber Eats help has separate routes for physical and digital cards on its gift card redemption page. If you bought the code from us, our team at [email protected] will check it; include your order number.
