Gently scratch off the PIN cover with a coin or a card.
Type it carefully
Codes use capital letters, numbers or both. Watch for zero versus capital O and the number one versus capital I.
Confirm
Click Continue, then Redeem.
Plan the next payment
When the gift time runs out, payments continue with your saved method. Without one, the account returns to Free with ads.
Can I still buy a Spotify gift card?
No. Spotify's support pages say Spotify gift cards are no longer available for purchase. The notice appears for the US, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. That is why we do not sell Spotify codes.
Cards bought earlier still work. Spotify's UK page adds that gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, so redeem an old card soon rather than saving it.
Which Spotify plans does a gift card cover?
Premium Individual only. A card can keep an Individual plan paid or upgrade a Free account. It cannot be applied to Premium Student, Family or Duo, to trial offers, or to Basic plans. Spotify also blocks gift cards on accounts that subscribe to an add-on.
Gift time starts on your plan's next payment date, or at once if you upgrade from Free. Spotify caps stacked Premium time at 18 months per account.
Why is my Spotify gift card not working?
Spotify points to a handful of causes.
- Too many tries: after 4 failed attempts, wait 24 hours before trying again.
- Not activated: a card bought in a shop must be activated by the cashier.
- Country mismatch: the account's country or region setting must match the card's country.
- Lookalike characters: recheck zero, O, one and I.
- Ineligible plan: Family, Duo, Student and add-on subscriptions cannot take a card.
