Redeem a Meta Quest code step by step
Open the Meta Horizon app
Sign in to the phone app with the Meta account you use on your headset.
Tap Menu

Scroll down to Payment and subscriptions, then tap 'Redeem store code'.
Enter the code and tap Submit
The balance lands in your wallet. Once a card is linked to your account, the code cannot be used again.

What can Meta store credit pay for?
Apps, experiences and in-app purchases on the Meta Horizon Store, plus eligible hardware and accessories on meta.com. Not every item accepts store credit, and credit cannot buy other gift cards or credit.
If an item costs more than your balance, pay the rest with another accepted method. Meta's terms do not allow store credit to be combined with several credit cards on one purchase. Promotions and coupons cannot be stacked either.
Game-specific Meta cards are different. They only work for their own game, and only in the United States.
Will my Meta Quest card work in my country?
Only if your account shops in the card's currency. A US card holds dollars and a UK card holds pounds. French and German cards hold euros and work in other euro countries on the Meta Horizon Store.
Store credit generally does not expire. Japan is the exception, where credit and gift cards expire six months after purchase. Credit cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash except where the law requires it.
What if my Meta code fails?
Start with these checks.
- Old app version: update the Meta Horizon app and restart it.
- Currency mismatch: a pound card will not pay for purchases in dollars or euros.
- Several cards for one in-app item: redeem one card, launch the game in your headset, claim the purchase, close the game, then repeat.
- Promo code refused: Meta says you may not be eligible for that promotion.
