Quick answer
On mango.com or in the Mango app, type the card number and CVV in the 'promo code or gift card' field before completing your order. In a shop, give the number and CVV or show the physical card. Euro cards work in any euro country, while UK cards stay in the UK. Mango explains it at shop.mango.com/gb/en/help/payments/use-gift-card.
Redeem a Mango gift card step by step
Fill your bag
Add items on mango.com or in the Mango app, using the site of the card's currency.
Leave promo codes off
Do not apply a promotional code first. Mango will not take a gift card online once a promo code is on the order.
Open the gift card field
Before you complete the purchase, open the 'promo code or gift card' field.
Enter number and CVV
Type the card number and the CVV. Online cards show both in the email, and physical cards print them on the card.
Finish with a bank card if needed
Mango accepts the gift card alone or together with a bank card. Pay any remaining amount by card and place the order.
Does Mango keep the balance on my account?
No. The balance belongs to the card and shrinks with each purchase until it runs out. Every receipt shows the amount left. You can also check it on Mango's balance page or in a Mango shop.
Only one gift card can pay for an order, and it cannot be stacked with other promotional discounts. Plan large baskets around the value of a single card.
Can I use a Mango gift card in another country?
Yes, inside the same currency. Mango's Spanish, German and French conditions let a card work in any country that uses the purchase currency. A German card therefore also pays in other euro countries. UK conditions limit the card to the country where it was bought.
The Nordic cards are narrower. Norway sells an online card for the website and app and a separate physical card for Norwegian shops. Danish online cards work only on Mango.com, and Swedish shop cards only in Swedish shops.
What if my Mango gift card does not work?
Look for one of these causes.
- Promo code applied: remove it and enter the gift card again.
- Second card: Mango takes one gift card per order.
- Wrong currency: a UK card will not pay in euro shops or on euro sites.
- Department store or airport shop: Mango gift cards are not valid in these locations.
- Lost card: Mango does not refund or replace lost or stolen cards.
The Mango help centre runs a 24/7 assistant. Human agents answer Monday to Friday 8am to 7:30pm and Saturdays 8am to 4:30pm. If we delivered your Mango code, email [email protected] with the order number.
Frequently asked questions
Do Mango gift cards expire?
No, for e-gift cards sold on Mango's Spanish, German, French, Austrian, Belgian and UK sites. Older shop cards bought before 12 December 2018 show their own validity date on the card.
Can I use a Mango gift card in a shop?
Yes. Give the staff the online card's number and CVV, or hand over the physical card. In Norway and Sweden, check the card type first, because some cards are online-only or shop-only.
Does a Spanish Mango card work in France?
Yes. Mango's Spanish conditions allow the card in any country with the same currency as the purchase country, and both countries use the euro.
Can I buy a Mango gift card with crypto?
Yes. A Spanish Mango card or a German one sells here at face value for crypto, with no KYC on orders up to US$1,000. Expect the card details in your account within 24 hours of payment confirmation.
