Print the gift card or open it on your phone. The receipt for buying a gift card is not itself a valid gift card.
Pay in store
Hand the gift card over at the till like any payment card. No PIN is asked for.
Or pay online
Choose the gift card as payment at checkout. On JYSK.dk it must be applied before the order is completed, not afterwards.
Settle the difference
If the card does not cover the total, pay the rest with one of JYSK's accepted payment methods.
Can I use a Danish JYSK gift card in Sweden or Norway?
No. JYSK's Danish terms say a gift card is a payment method only in the country where it was issued. Every country page repeats the limit. Swedish cards pay in Swedish stores and online in Sweden. Norwegian cards work online and in Norwegian stores, Finnish cards on JYSK.fi and in JYSK stores.
A JYSK gift card also cannot buy further gift cards.
What happens if a JYSK order paid by gift card is cancelled?
You get the value back as a gift card. If a JYSK.dk order paid with a gift card is cancelled, JYSK issues a new gift card. A split payment is refunded the same way: the gift card share as a new card, the credit card share to the credit card.
For an order placed in a Danish store, JYSK either issues a new gift card or pays the amount in cash. Danish terms also allow the card's value to be paid out in a physical store, which Finnish terms rule out.
What if JYSK will not accept my gift card?
The usual causes are simple.
- Wrong country: a Norwegian card fails on JYSK.dk, and a Danish card fails in Sweden.
- Receipt instead of card: show the gift card PDF, not the purchase receipt.
- Order already placed: on JYSK.dk the card only applies before the order is completed.
- Expired: Danish and Finnish cards run five years from the issue date.
