Check what is in the bag
Items shipped directly by brand partners such as Nike, adidas, The North Face or VANS cannot be paid with a gift card.
Choose Gift Card at payment
Type the gift card number and PIN exactly as they appear in your email, then apply them to the order.
Cover any difference
If the order costs more than the balance, pay the rest with a card, PayPal or another accepted method.

Show the email or text containing the gift card number at the till. JD UK eGift cards work in every JD UK store.
Do German and Dutch JD gift cards work online?
No. JD Germany's terms say store gift cards can only be used in its shops, not online. Ultimate cards are redeemable only in JD Sports Germany stores. The Dutch black JD gift card is marked for in-store use only.
The German card expires three years after purchase, and spending or balance checks do not extend it.
A UK eGift card can pay for a jdsports.co.uk order with international delivery. It is refused on JD's international sites.
How long does a UK JD balance last?
A UK eGift card expires 24 months after purchase. Every purchase or balance check restarts that clock for another 24 months.
Each purchase is deducted from the balance, and the rest pays for later orders. The balance checker sits at the bottom of jdsports.co.uk/gift-cards/.
Online orders paid by gift card are refunded to a new eGift card, sent to the order's email address. Store returns go back onto the same card or a new one.
What if JD says my gift card is locked or invalid?
JD's help pages explain both errors.
- Locked: the same card was entered in more than one checkout. Remove it from the basket, close every JD website and app, and wait. It unlocks after 30 minutes.
- Invalid: the number and PIN do not match, the card was never activated, it has expired or its balance is zero.

Can I swap a JD gift card for cash?
No. JD's UK and German terms say gift cards cannot be refunded or swapped for cash. JD also will not replace a lost or stolen card, so guard the email or plastic card like cash until the balance is spent.
Can I use a JD gift card and a promo code together?
Not in Germany, where store gift cards cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions, apart from the student discount. In the UK, JD allows one promo code per order, and gift cards never cover items shipped directly by brand partners.
Can I buy a JD Sports gift card with crypto?
Yes. A UK JD gift card or a German JD store card costs its face value, paid in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL or LTC. Orders up to US$1,000 need no KYC. The code lands in your client area within 24 hours of payment confirmation.
