Redeem an IMVU code step by step
Use a browser or IMVU Desktop
Sign in to the IMVU account that should receive the value. The mobile app cannot redeem gift cards.
Open the Gift Cards page
Go to imvu.com/prepaidcard. On a physical card, scratch the gray coating on the back to reveal the code.
Enter the code
Type the code in the field provided and click 'Redeem'.
Choose Credits or VIP
Select Credits, or select VIP and pick from the 'Choose Your Package' page, then click 'Redeem'.
Wait for confirmation
IMVU confirms that your credits, plus any bonus items tied to the card, have been added.
Credits or VIP: what does an IMVU card add?
Either IMVU Credits for the catalog or VIP Club membership, and you choose at redemption. If you take VIP, the tier shown on 'Choose Your Package' depends on the card's value.
You can enter another card at any time during a VIP membership to extend it. Paying for VIP by credit card or PayPal already? Cancel that subscription and wait for it to end before redeeming the card. Your VIP expiry date sits at imvu.com/next/settings/subscriptions.
IMVU may adjust gift card prices or their credit equivalents.
Who can redeem, and does the balance expire?
IMVU gift cards are for account holders above the age of 13. The terms set no fixed expiry date. Unused balances may fall under local unclaimed-property laws, and value can be lost if you delete your account or it stays deactivated.
Neither the card nor unused balances can be refunded or exchanged for cash.
What if my IMVU code does not work?
Try these fixes.
- Using the phone app: switch to the website or IMVU Desktop.
- No VIP option shown: IMVU asks you to contact support.
- Wrong product redeemed: contact support right away.
- Credits missing: check your transaction history first.
