Where does an eXtra gift card work?
Inside the country it was issued for. eXtra's Saudi terms say the online gift card is valid in all eXtra stores and on the website inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Older cards issued by the stores cannot be used on the website; only the new version works in both places.
eXtra Bahrain's terms say its cards are valid at all United Electronics Company (eXtra) stores in Bahrain only, for one year from issue. eXtra Oman lists eXtra gift cards among the payment methods its stores accept.
Can I buy marketplace items with an eXtra gift card?
No. extra.com also hosts other sellers, and the gift card cannot pay for products they list. Check that eXtra is named as the seller on the product page before you reach checkout.
Returns follow a fixed rule too. The gift card is not refunded in cash when you return a product. Instead, eXtra puts the value, or part of it, on a new card to be used at eXtra.
Why is my eXtra card declined?
An eXtra decline usually traces back to one of five rules.
- Expired: Saudi cards last 12 months from issue, and the date cannot be extended.
- Wrong PIN: it must be entered with every use.
- Third-party seller: the item is sold by another merchant on extra.com.
- Too many cards: the cap is four per invoice.
- Wrong country: a Saudi card does not pay in Bahrain, and a Bahrain card stays in Bahrain.

Can I reload an eXtra gift card?
No, not the standard Saudi gift card. eXtra's terms say it cannot be reloaded, exchanged, refunded or redeemed for cash. eXtra's separate promotional and B2B cards are rechargeable, but they follow their own rules.
Which eXtra card should I buy?
The one for the shopper's country. Choose the Saudi eXtra card in SAR for extra.com and Saudi stores, or the Bahrain card in BHD for eXtra stores in Bahrain.
