Redeem a DoorDash gift card step by step
Sign in
Create an account or sign in on doordash.com or in the DoorDash app. The card must go into your own account.
Open Gift Card
Desktop: select Account at the bottom left, then Gift Card. iOS: tap the Account icon, then Gift Card. Android: Profile Account, then Settings, then Gift Card.
Uncover the PIN
On a physical card, scratch off the foil to reveal the PIN.
Redeem
Tap Redeem, enter the PIN and confirm with Redeem to your account.
Order
The amount appears as DoorDash credit and is applied to your next order automatically.
Can I redeem a DoorDash gift card at checkout?
Yes. In the app, open View Cart, scroll to the total, select promo, then Redeem Now, and enter the 11-digit gift card PIN. On desktop, choose Checkout, open Promo codes, rewards & gift cards, and use Redeem Your Gift Card. Stick to the gift card option: DoorDash's business guide warns that typing a gift code as a promo code causes an error.
Why won't my DoorDash gift card redeem?
Check these points.
- Wrong country: DoorDash has separate terms for the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, each limiting redemption to orders in that country.
- Currency error: DoorDash needs your address to set the credit currency. If you see an error, add a delivery address and try again.
- Link already used: a page saying "This gift card has already been redeemed" points you to Account > Payment to track your credits.
- Gift not arrived yet: a digital card is sent on the Send Date the buyer chose. The buyer can resend it from the receipt in the app, but cannot switch between email and phone delivery.
What happens after the credit is added?
Gift card credit combines with any DoorDash credit you already have, so $10 in credits plus a $25 card makes $35. If the credit covers the full order, no other payment method is needed. If not, your primary payment method pays the rest. All redemptions are final and cannot be reversed.
Frequently asked questions
Do DoorDash gift cards expire?
No. DoorDash's terms in all four countries say gift cards do not expire and carry no fees. The credit is lost if your account is deactivated or deleted.
Can I use a DoorDash gift card on Caviar?
Yes, in the US. The card can be redeemed on DoorDash or Caviar, but the funds stay on the platform where you redeemed it.
How much DoorDash credit can I add per day?
US terms allow no more than $2,000 of purchased DoorDash credits on one account in a single day.
