Quick answer
On the Decathlon website or app of the issuing country, add items sold by Decathlon and pick the gift card payment option at checkout. Enter the 16-digit number and the PIN, or hand the card over at a store till. A card works only in its own country: a French card pays on decathlon.fr and in French stores, not in Spain. See decathlon.fr/giftcard.
Redeem a Decathlon gift card step by step
Use the issuing country's site
Open the Decathlon site or app of the country on your card, such as decathlon.de for a German card. Euro cards from different countries are not interchangeable.
Keep marketplace items apart
Fill the cart with products sold by Decathlon itself. Decathlon Germany hides the gift card option when marketplace items share the cart.
Choose the gift card method
In the last checkout step, select the gift card payment method. On decathlon.de it is labelled Geschenkgutschein.
Enter number and PIN
Type the 16-digit card number and the PIN. On a physical card, the PIN sits behind the scratch-off field on the back.
Settle the remainder
If the balance falls short, choose a second payment method for the rest. In a store, present the card at the till instead.
Is a Decathlon card used at checkout or saved to my account?
It is spent at checkout or at the till, and the unused value stays on the card. Decathlon Germany lets you spread one card over several purchases, but never pays the balance out in cash.
You can stack cards on a single order: up to 8 in Germany, 9 per online order in Italy and 10 in Switzerland. Decathlon UK and Canada accept several cards in one transaction, online and in store. Check the balance and expiry date online, for example on Decathlon France's balance page, or at any store.
Can I use a Decathlon card from another country?
No. Each card holds the currency of the country that issued it, and it is spent only with that country's Decathlon. A UK card works online and in any UK store, and a Canadian card works in Canada only. French cards cover decathlon.fr, the app and stores in France and its overseas departments. Polish cards also pay for in-store repairs, but not for Decathlon Rent or Go.
What if my Decathlon gift card does not work?
Check these causes first.
- Marketplace items in the cart: move them to a separate order, then retry the card.
- Wrong country: a Spanish card will not pay on decathlon.it or in Italian stores.
- Expired card: look up the expiry date with the online balance check.
- Lost card: in France, customer service blocks it and sends a new card with the remaining balance. UK lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced.
For other problems, use the Decathlon help centre of your country or ask a store team. If the Decathlon code came from us, email [email protected] with the order number.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for marketplace products with a Decathlon gift card?
No. In France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland, the card covers products sold by Decathlon, not items from marketplace partners. Pay for partner items separately with another method.
Do Decathlon gift cards expire?
Yes, in most countries. French, Italian, UK, Dutch, Portuguese and Polish cards last 2 years, German cards 4 years and Swiss cards 5 years. Canadian Decathlon cards do not expire.
Can I use a Decathlon e-gift card in a store?
Yes. Decathlon UK says digital cards redeem online or in any Decathlon store. In Germany you can also scan the voucher's QR code from the wallet on your phone at the till.
Can I buy a Decathlon gift card with crypto?
Yes. A French Decathlon card or a German one costs its face value in crypto, with no KYC on orders up to US$1,000. The code lands in your account within 24 hours of payment confirmation.
