Where does a MediaMarkt Poland code work?

Poland · PLN

Redeem the ordinary card in physical MediaMarkt stores in Poland. The national landing explicitly excludes the website and other sales channels. A digital PDF format does not create online merchandise acceptance.

Issuer source: MediaMarkt Poland: linked full terms for cards issued from 20 May 2024 · checked 2026-10-20

Validity

For ordinary purchased current cards, twelve calendar months from activation/loading, ending at the close of the day before the corresponding activation anniversary; the landing calls this twelve months minus one day. A merchandise-return card instead has thirty-six months on that anchor. The legacy exception for cards activated before 4 November 2019 is separate.

How to redeem

  1. Present an activated ordinary KartaMM at a physical MediaMarkt store in Poland; the online shop is not an eligible redemption channel.
  2. Tell the cashier the amount to use and pay any shortfall using an accepted extra method. An eligible separately issued E-KartaMM is presented on the device screen at the store, not entered as a website payment code.

The złoty boundaries describe the purchased card

The current Polish terms applicable to cards issued from 20 May 2024 allow an ordinary purchased card from fifty to ten thousand złoty. These are native PLN boundaries, not euro figures converted for a Polish visitor. The ordinary retail acquisition described for an individual customer is physical. A business order or a separately issued PDF gift can involve a different arrangement even when its printed face amount looks similar.

The website sells goods but does not take this gift

The Polish landing expressly limits ordinary gift redemption to physical MediaMarkt shops in Poland and excludes other sales channels, specifically the national website. That distinction matters when a recipient finds a desired item online and plans to pay for it with gift value. The existence of a product listing is insufficient to establish a compatible online payment route. Likewise, receiving a PDF credential does not make the gift an internet checkout code. Under the terms, an eligible E-KartaMM is presented on a phone or another device at the physical till.

Count calendar months from the activation event

For the current ordinary purchased card, the terms specify twelve calendar months from activation or loading. Validity ends at the close of the day before the corresponding anniversary; the issuer’s examples and landing describe that as twelve months minus one day. This is more precise than counting twelve arbitrary thirty-day periods. It also is not measured from the recipient’s first shopping trip or the day a gift is forwarded. Preserve the actual activation information. A later partial payment is not described as restarting this current ordinary clock, and the terms do not grant a general extension on request.

Return cards and older cards must keep their own clocks

The same Polish terms give a card issued in connection with a store merchandise return thirty-six months from activation, with the same preceding-anniversary-day endpoint. They also preserve a separate five-year provision for cards activated before 4 November 2019. A newly purchased ordinary card does not gain the longer return-credit duration because the retailer also uses cards for refunds, and the old programme rule does not automatically apply to a current purchase. Identify whether the received value was purchased, issued for a return or governed by a separate promotion.

The cashier can apply part of the available balance

At a Polish store, the customer presents the card and tells the cashier how much of its value to use. The landing permits an accepted extra method, such as cash or a payment card, for a shortfall. The terms say the transaction receipt records the remaining balance, which is useful when the recipient makes several eligible purchases before expiry. Keep the carrier and those receipts together rather than reconstructing the balance from memory.

The gift cannot be used to acquire another payment product

The Polish exclusions name other KartaMM gifts, prepaid cards and POSA cards used to obtain a subscription programme or service. A retailer stocking another issuer’s gift therefore does not mean this balance may fund it. This also distinguishes the monetary KartaMM from an entertainment subscription product merely displayed nearby. The ordinary acquisition rules exclude using an existing KartaMM to buy a new one.

PDF issuance and business activation have separate conditions

The terms reserve E-KartaMM issuance in PDF form to separate agreements or rules, including promotions. Business purchases paid by transfer have their own activation provision: no later than three working days after transfer, subject to individual agreement. A promotional PDF also may be governed by the promotion’s rules in preference to the general terms. Before treating a received digital gift as equivalent to the ordinary retail card, retain the documentation identifying the agreement or promotion under which it was issued.

Authorised distribution is an additional requirement

The current Polish terms expressly reserve distribution to authorised MediaMarkt partners. No such merchant permission has been proved here. The terms also exclude cash exchange and interest and describe limitations for lost or damaged cards while preserving mandatory rights and issuer-caused cases. An eligible merchandise return instead produces a new gift for the returned price. Public programme information can explain these rules, but cannot certify a supplier’s authority, an individual balance or an operational sale.
