An H&M gift card works only in the country where it was bought, in H&M and H&M HOME stores and on that country's hm.com; US and Canadian cards also work in each other's stores, but online only on their home site.

Validity

Validity depends on the issuing country: US and Canadian cards never expire and carry no fees; German, French, Swedish and Irish cards last 5 years, Australian cards 3 years and UK cards 2 years from the last activation or purchase; a card left at zero balance for three months (90 days in the US and Canada) becomes invalid.

Buy the card for the country where the recipient shops: a UK card works only in UK stores and on hm.com UK, a German card only in Germany. In North America, a US card spends online only on the US site and a Canadian card only on the Canadian site.
