# How to redeem a Global Hotel Card > Book at GlobalHotelCard.com in your card's currency, then enter the 16-digit code and 8-digit PIN. Up to eight cards per booking, and balances never expire. - URL: https://giftswithcrypto.com/guides/how-to-redeem-global-hotel-card/ - Last updated: 2026-10-21 - Publisher: Gifts With Crypto (https://giftswithcrypto.com) **Quick answer** Go to GlobalHotelCard.com, pick Hotels, Cars or Activities, and search in the currency of your card. At payment, enter the 16-digit Gift Card Code and 8-digit PIN, then pay any rest by credit card. Global Hotel Card, Inc. sets out the steps at globalhotelcard.com/how-it-works. The card is not redeemable on Expedia.com, and same-day bookings are not allowed. ## Redeem a Global Hotel Card step by step 1. **Open GlobalHotelCard.com** — GlobalAutoCard.com, GlobalExperiencesCard.com and GlobalTravelCards.com all lead to the same site. 2. **Choose one product** — Select Hotels, Cars or Activities from the dropdown. Each booking covers a single product. 3. **Search in your card's currency** — A euro card books in euros and a dollar card in dollars. Pick a date after today, since same-day bookings are refused. 4. **Apply code and PIN** — Enter the 16-digit Gift Card Code and 8-digit PIN as full or partial payment. Up to eight cards fit one booking. 5. **Pay the rest and confirm** — Settle any difference with a major credit card. The confirmation email carries the hotel, rental agency or activity operator details. ## What happened to the Global Experiences Card? It now runs on the same engine as the Global Hotel Card. Global Hotel Card, Inc. issues four brands: Global Hotel Card, Global Auto Card, Global Experiences Card and Global Travel Card. Its company timeline marks 2026 as the year experiences migrated to Expedia and the engine was unified. In practice, the name on your card no longer limits what you book. Any Global gift card pays for hotels, car rentals or activities, and up to eight cards of any brand can be combined on one booking. An Experiences Card redeems at GlobalHotelCard.com like the others. ## Does a Global Hotel Card expire? No. The terms, effective September 2026, say Global gift cards do not expire and carry no fees. If the card is worth more than the booking, the remaining balance stays on it for a future booking. It is not redeemable for cash, except where the law requires. Cancellations must be made online only, not with the hotel, rental agency or activity operator. Approved cancellations go straight back onto the gift card, and to any credit card within 5 to 7 business days. ## Why will my Global Hotel Card not apply? These causes come up most. - **Wrong site:** the code works at GlobalHotelCard.com, not on Expedia.com. - **Wrong currency:** bookings are made in the currency of the card issued. - **Same-day stay:** same-day bookings in the local time zone are not permitted. - **Mixed basket:** a hotel and a car cannot share one booking. - **Too many cards:** the limit is eight per booking.
