# How to redeem an EA gift card > Redeem an EA Gift Card under Payment and Wallet, EA Wallet, Add Funds. Your first card sets your wallet's country; a US wallet holds up to $300. - URL: https://giftswithcrypto.com/guides/how-to-redeem-ea/ - Last updated: 2026-10-21 - Publisher: Gifts With Crypto (https://giftswithcrypto.com) **Quick answer** Sign in to your EA Account at myaccount.ea.com, open the Payment and Wallet tab, select EA Wallet, then Add Funds. Type the code, accept the Terms and Conditions and select Submit. The funds stay in your EA Wallet for the EA app and EA.com. Your first redemption fixes your wallet's country and currency, so gift cards from other countries will not work afterwards. ## Redeem an EA code step by step 1. **Sign in to your EA Account** — Go to myaccount.ea.com/am/ui/payment-wallet with the account you play on. 2. **Open EA Wallet** — On the Payment and Wallet tab, select EA Wallet, then Add Funds. 3. **Enter the code** — Type your EA Gift Card code, then read and accept the Terms and Conditions. 4. **Submit** — Select Submit. EA deposits the funds into your EA Wallet. 5. **Shop on the EA app or EA.com** — EA uses wallet money before other payment methods, unless you pick a different method before buying. ## What can EA Wallet funds buy? Digital downloads of games, EA Play memberships, real-money items in EA's PC games, and Pogo products for US residents. The money waits in the wallet until you spend it, and EA applies it automatically at checkout. For a game purchase, EA's buying guide says you can pay with the wallet if the balance covers the full cost. Games for Xbox, PlayStation and other platforms are sold through those platforms' own stores. Skip ea.com/redeem as well: that page takes product codes, while gift cards go through the EA Wallet. ## Which country's EA Gift Card can I use? The card of the country where you live and hold your EA Account. Wherever you redeem your first card becomes your designated country, and the wallet takes that card's currency. From then on, EA does not accept gift cards from other countries. EA sells gift cards in the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and 12 European countries, including the UK, Germany, France and Poland. Under US terms, the wallet holds at most $300, and you can spend up to $200 from it per day. US residents with a US account need the [US EA Gift Card](https://giftswithcrypto.com/gift-cards/ea/united-states/). ## What if my EA code does not work? First check where you typed it. EA redeems gift cards in the EA Wallet, not on the product code page. Next, confirm the card comes from your designated country, because a wallet set to another currency will refuse it. When a code shows as already redeemed, EA's code help sends you back to the place you bought it. For other problems, open [EA Help](https://help.ea.com/en/articles/orders-and-rewards/ea-gift-cards/) and use its Contact us option.
